Mom & I went to Charleston, SC this weekend for a Beth Moore conference; which was wonderful & I suggest everyone should experience! We did some good mother-daughter shopping on King St. after we finished & saw this cute shop!
Sunglasses have been my go to accessory for many years, but hats have taken off recently so of course this shop had me all kinda of excited!

Above are some of my favorite kitchen photos! I love the idea of lots of windows in a kitchen, from waking up to the morning sunshine, watching the kids play, or viewing the home garden, a wall of windows seem appropriate for any kitchen. Acrylic, rustic woods, & loads of dinnerwear seem to be at the top of my design list these days. All three styles are trending in south these days, and I just can't get enough of!

I absolutely love this; 100cameras. What a great way to fill your surrounds while giving back. (there's also an article in Lonny Mag. featuring 100cameras.)
Lonny Magazine came out yesterday, and had a great article on Kelly Wearstler's store (pictured above). For more great photos start on page 50.

So excited for Domino Magazine's Quick Fix Issue coming to newsstands April 17. Domino was my favorite magazines, and inspired many of my design projects while in design school. For inspiring combinations & unique ideas I suggest picking up a copy this April!

While many people have heard of the issues around the world it's not until you put faces & stories with issue that people truly grasp the urge to help & its importance. This is a very powerful movement about the Invisible Children that started trending yesterday; Kony 2012 Video. I encourage you to watch the video & support this great cause on April 20th in your city! #KONY2012

Tomorrow begins a special day of sacrifice, many know it as lent. I haven't been one to always participate in lent, but this year I felt the need to give it a try. Over the years I have developed some kind of obsession with soda, coke in particular. I have noticed my growing desire & cravings for the drink the past few months & believe it will be a true sacrifice & a great learning experience to deny those cravings. With that I am beyond excited to start this journey & will keep you updated on the challenges I face in the coming weeks! John 4:32&34

While I have been known to enjoy the occasional Hard Rock Cafe when traveling, I whole hearted believe the best food is found with the locals. Whether in the backwoods of the U.S. (gumlog bbq or NOLA gas station po-boy) to the local mom & pop cafe in Italy one of the best ways to get know a community is starting with its soul, food.

I found this tray on Pinterest today & fell in love. I've been looking at different organizers since learning I'd be moving again. It is a great "do-it-yourself" inexpensive project for under $20. Follow the link to the Sanity Fair
blog & learn how to make your own!

I found this great website, C.S. Post & Co. Where I came across the Wheaten coffee table. It reminds me of a home from the 9th ward, we saw on our New Orleans trip. While the home experienced great devastation it's character still stands strong, and this coffee table is great tribute to the home's accents.

I found this on A Well Traveled Woman. It is old abondoned boats turned into barns. There is so much about this I love.

This year for Christmas I got my mother a marbleized journal made in Italy. While in Italy several years ago we visited a store where they actually made the patterns; so I was very excited when I came across the journal. This week I found an article in House Beautiful & Country Living about home accents made with similar patterns. I love how each piece is different in the marbleized pattern, and I thought I would share some of the marbleized inspirations.
